After having a few rough first 3 months with my new horse, this morning we actually had a break through, we actually cantered a 20m cirle then a 15m one!!!!!!! an it was controlled!!!!

Sorry for posting this i was just soooooo pleased with myself this morning!!!

I no cause it was only the other week that i was saying to my yard owner that that was it i wasnt good enough for him and he could go to a better home!

She persuaded me to keep him for at least a year as i need to get usd to him, and this morning he was good as gold

Thats good that you are sticking with him. It can be so disheatening sometimes but I really think that it can take up to a year to bond with a horse.
 
That is what she said she is my instructor as well (and a very good one at that) and she has only had her new horse a year and she said they are still having problems and she is a very very good rider!

I just need to stay calm when i ride and not get mad or upset when anything happens, i put some music on today and found that really helped

well done, and don't apologise, its good to hear peoples good news. the feeling you get when you get a breakthrough like that is great isn't it? well done for keeping at it and hopfully things will keep on getting better.
 
Thanks HellyT, yeah it felt brill! lol but it always happens when there isnt many people about! lol

We are going to work a programme out for hima nd me so ither of us dont get bored, i really really wnna make it work.

He never does annything in a bad way ither, he just tires to please but we both get mixed up at times
