I wanted to post and say to you each and every one of you that has offered kind words and support in whatever form over the last few months a huge THANK YOU. :)
There have been times over the last few years I have seriously wondered why I bother with this forum but behind all the hearty bitching, backstabbing and general nonsense that goes on here is a wonderful community of caring people. I will never again question my membership on this forum, when the chips were really down I was so greatful to be a member of that community I cannot tell you just how greatful. From the first post after my partner left back in June, to the posts the day before and day after my horses were pts you guys have been there. You helped make me feel justified in my decision to pts and your supportive words greatly eased the pain of having to carry that decision through.
So as I (with great trepidation) prepare to start a whole new chapter at the end of the week when me and ALL FOUR of my beloved dogs move to our new cottage (yep I did it, we have a new home all together :D) I just wanted to remind you guys what a wonderful place this forum can be.
I will probably be offline for a while during the move I should imagine but I shall be sure to update you all on the new home at the first available opportunity.
The dogs would like to thank you too, for giving their mummy hope and courage and therefore keeping our family together.

what a lovely lovely pic!! :) i hope the move goes well and u all settle in quickly.

as a newcomer to HHO i admit some of the posts/posters on here scare the bejeesus out of me, even at 45 years old. i can understand the frustrations of posters who (appear to) have their advice thrown back in their face just because it doesnt suit what the op wants to hear. Some comments have imo, been unwarranted and unnecessarily harsh, some downright insulting. i also understand that its easy to want to give a cyberslap to someone who would test the patience of a saint ..but

iv also seen empathy, sympathy, constructive advice, offers of unconditional help & support, humour, reassurance that 'your problem horse/dog/situation' has been experienced by someone else, encouragement when things are going wrong, encouragement when things are going well and countless hugs/vibes/cake and drinks.

i think, overall, the good far outweighs the bad tho and the HHO'ers are a pretty decent bunch ;)

Very well said!

The help, advice, friendship and support I have received on here has been amazing, and has truly touched my heart. Ive had the honour of meeting a few members in RL, and hope to meet more!

(One day MrsM, I WILL make it up to see you all!)

I dont know what id do without you guys :o

*group hug!*

OP so glad to hear that things are coming together for you, after such a hard time. Your strength has been amazing and I don't know how you managed to hold it together as you did.
And I think that HHO is the same as horse people in real life, when the chips are down the troops rally round :)

Just read your old posts. Poor horses. Really very glad it is working out for the dogs and you though. Very best of luck for the future... and make sure you get a ring (or pre-nup?!?) to ensure the financial support is on-going next time! (Just, as it happens, working out how to provide for my animals if anything happened to me... you really do have my sympathies...)

Oh I forgot to say also...baby horse is fully recovered and going from strength to strength, he is still on livery up the road and I hope to work out a way of keeping him when livery bills become my responsibilty in January. If not, he is certainly a saleable horse again and I will be sure to find him a wonderful new home if it comes to that.

I'm so glad things are starting to look up for you at last. After all you've been through you deserve it. :) I hope you also find a way to keep baby horse, you've managed to sort out life for you and your lovely dogs and you did the best by your older horses so I realy hope you are able to keep him and have lots of fun with him for years to come. :D

I also agree with what a wonderful place this is. I have recieved nothing but support since my beloved Lucy fell ill and even more since loosing her. Everyone is also so supportive of my work with the horid one. Reading some other posts scare me. Some of them get so nasty but on the whole I think most are kind, caring and supportive. I just focas on that and it keeps me posting. :)

So very glad that things are coming together for you and you are starting afresh and with the dogs too. You have done the right thing by all your animals and I really do hope you manage to find a way to keep the baby horse.

Wishing you every best wish for the future ((hug))
