could anyone give me advice on my barefoot section B. the farrier came at the weekend and said because of all the wet weather and him being out during the day his hooves haven't grown and to only exercise him in the arena no roadwork and hopefully next time he can put some shoes on his front hooves, Normally he has great little feet and the farrier has done him since he was a foal so I don't doubt the farrier. Question is what can I do to help my little pony not have sore feet quickly I feel sorry for him

This winter has been hard on feet. My old lad is footsore and his soles flex when pushed. I am so sure about feet not growing in wet weather more likely to be washed out soles.

he already is on soaked hay its not Lami (1st question asked) I have bought Biotin but that can take some time to start working, is there anything to put on the hooves to help?

This constant wet weather will have softened his feet so much that it has weakened them. I'd be trying to get them dried out, at least for some of the day, ie onto a dry shavings bed at night. Not sure why they are not growing, they do grow less in winter, but I'd also try a low sugar diet, with forage plus minerals (or similar). My vet has a theory that muddy ground actually causes the soles to semi prolapse with the suction effect, which is going to make horses sensitive as well. Roll on some dry weather.
