2 days ago I was riding my horse Judy who is 21 years old and she was riding strange. Judy usually gets stiff from time to time and a good slow warm up will have her moving nicely but this time it was her front leg. She refused to canter properly on the left rein repeatedly going off the wrong leg (which she never does) but was fine on the right rein. After asking someone to look at her from the ground while I rode we decided she was definitely sore and I hopped off. She doesn’t bob her head and walks completely normal it’s just a slight hop in trot and then seems very sore to canter on the left rein. I left her off work for two days and my instructor thinks she’s just stiff but I’m not sure? She never felt that way before.
She’s also on joint supplements naf glucosamine 10,000 plus with msm
She is also on ironXcell on order of the vet as she had a liver problem around a month ago. She was also on a 10 day liver flush. Unsure if related cuz she was riding perfectly for a few weeks now. Thank you.
Included photos of Judy but have no videos of her limping but can supply tomorrow morning if needed. I have a video but can’t attach it ?
