Sore shoulder...

Hi,

My mare is lame this am, and after picking out all feet, watching her move and feeling down her legs carefully, i think it's her shoulder. My guess is that she's slipped in the mud as it's very slippery around here at the moment. Any advice on what, if anything, I can do to help her? She's turned out 24/7 so is moving around on it, which I think is helping.

My gelding did this a few years back galloping through a stubble field! We tried all sorts like box rest etc but found that him being out and walking around helped the most, just like when you pull a muscle you are better to walk it off,
If she doesnt get better i would get the vet to double check though..

I quite agree, the vet will be coming out if she doesn't improve over the next few days and, will be out immediately if she gets worse. Thanks for your help.

Just wondered how your horse is now... I have a similar problem with my horse...

Not that likely to be shoulder. Box rest for a few days and call vet if no improvement.
