Well K has been eating, not as much as usual but she had been managing to get some down her. Vet came out yesterday and she had some gaps which had got stuck full of food. So she was sedated and they were cleaned out, but she needs to go to the horsepital for the gaps to be made wider. So now we need this blooming snow and ice to clear, am surprised the vet got up the lane.

Gave her a massive bucket of chaff and sugar beet last night thinking she would be really sore, but she left it half way through and went to her net instead so she mustn't be too bad. Glad we know what it is now and it's being fixed.

I had a traumatic day too, nerve had died and got infected which was causing my tooth ache (if you can call whole side of your face throbbing that) so it's been drilled out and cleaned out now.

So we're both fixed and pain free

I'm pretty sure she would object quite strongly to that JR lol. And i think the gaps are a bit less straightforwards than that too. She's happy for now though, and one night in a strange place once the ice is gone, and her teeth should be ok for a while

C4F thanks, i know it's about time stuff started to go right!

Yep - one of my lads has a diastoma and that needs to bne opened out - will be a full sedaiton and in the stocks job. Will be done in a few weeks time. We had ti cleaned out last week and the vet wants to see how it goes first.

No honest, My horse dentist flossed a friends horse and she stood there as good as gold, there mare was getting on a bit and the gaps between her teeth was getting wouds of grass jammed in and making gums shrink.

Dam why cann't I spell properly I meant wads, but the mare picked up body weight fast. You didn't have to do it everyday just once a month and the mare stood as good as gold every time
