suggestions greatfully recieved...
My horse has very very sore withers, not fistulous but broken skin which weeps and his rugs / saddle pads stick to it! Not infected but keeps re-opening! I work in a vets and have had their suggestions but nothing has worked yet so if anyone has any good tricks I'd appreciate hearing them!:)

My boy gets really sore withers over the winter, with having to wear rugs.
I just used purple spray on, and a shoulder guard under his rug. It's stopped the sore opening up, but still rubs a little.

Someone has suggest i use manuka honey on it, I've not needed to try it just yet, but maybe give that a shot?

My TB gets rubs in winter from his rugs. I bought a real sheepskin pad off ebay (they're about 10 inches long and 5 wide) and stitched it to the inside of the rug which has helped a lot. Its almost healed now. I just typed wither pad in on ebay and they came up.

Old rugs used to all have these in but for some reason nowadays they just put a fake piece of sheepskin at the seam which is no use nor ornament really!
