Ok, so i bought Tia in december and until now we've been doing everything in a loose ring lozenge snaffle - a lovely bit IMO. my only problem with it is that she tends to (both schooling and hacking) lean on the bit(occurs more in schooling) and/or tank off (more apparent hacking). i'm going to perservere with it till the summer months, and im really going to be working her so that she meets me with the contact and creates a featherlight feeling for me - which about 10 mins into exercise she will willingly accept until we start any faster paced work (trot is awful hacking whilst cantering isn't good schooling but this is also balance issues i think) if no improvent, i was just wondering wot bit yoo guys might suggest trying on her? bear in mind shes VERY sensitive but a stubborn mare. she didnt take well to metal bits apparently but wood b willing to try if needs be. i know NOTHING about bitting aparts from their names

so if yoo cood explain how yoo think they might help her, that wood b brill.

what about a happymouth dutch gag. If you go for the three ring version you can adjust the strength and when going well can use as a snaffle

That would be taking it to the extreme surely?! What about tring a waterford loose ring so she cant lean? If you still have the issue of strenght maybe try a waterford hanging cheek?
