Hi all,

15.2hh, 7 year old mare. ISHx (belived Irish Sports Horse x Connemara) tri coloured. Absolutely stunning (I'm not just saying that cos she's mine! She really is!). Very evenly marked, very pretty, could take county level by storm.
200% in everything...traffic, box, clip, shoe etc...
Very safe & sensible, has never bucked, reared, bolted etc..perfect for complete beginner or more experienced for serious career in showing. Also brill to jump, but may need a little more schooling in this (only because I don't really do jumping!). But I have seen her jumping 3'3" with ease...think she could have great potential. Or again very steady for a beginner. Only downside is she can be very lazy and hard work!...she doesnt' object to working, she just likes to do everything as slowly as possible! virtually the same out hacking. Can work very well with a very experienced rider who knows which buttons to push. Same with outline, if your not an experienced rider, she will poke her nose out and not oblige! Great to hack alone or in company, never naps etc. But she can be a little spooky on her own. Totally uncomplicated, ideal 1st horse for novice or for experienced rider to bring on for career.
Thinking of selling (possibly!) so any thoughts on price anyone?

Thanks

Phew...this took a while...hope it works!!

Paintbox...I paid a little more than £4K for her as a 4 year old!! So I would think she would be worth more than that now as she has been out and done some competing and is a little more mature. but thanks for posting anyway! All replies appreciated!

I have been given a guide price just over that quoted by Judziah...but wanted to get other people's views. Obviously I have my own idea's on price, but I am slightly biased!

And thanks for the nice comments everyone!

only based it on a 16hh irsh coloured that we had at our yard who was brought for 5k and had done more than your girl he was 8 and was also owned by a famous person.

she is lovely, you wont have a prob selling her she will go far

I think it would depend on where in the UK you are. In my area a horse like this is like hens teeth, you would have bidding war over her if she is as good as she sounds.

She is lovely but I think if you are looking at a price tag of over £6k then I personally would like to see a bit more experience as in a few DC BSJA of a few BD points or the start of a promising record at BE
Is she bred particularly well?
I do think that nice coloureds demand more money but I personally would like to see more proof of her abilities.
I have no doubt that somebody would pay that money though.

Tiffany - pic of her is above!

A professional producer has valued her....she said that had she got BD points/affiliated competition record etc..she would be nearer the £10K mark.

Oh I don't know!! Horse prices in general seem a bit silly to me at the moment anyway....and they seem to be going up!

Thanks for all the replies.

Yes she might be near the 10k mark IF she DID. But because she hasnt means you cant really expect that amount of money...

Horse prices are indeed silly at the moment. But this kind of explains why the horse market is so slow at the moment- lots of overpriced horses dont sell.

ETS ahhh sorry just read this back and it sounds really rude- not intentional! she is a lovely looking person!

No probs!
I didn't mean to say that she is worth £10K now!!!!.....just that I was advised that IF she had affiliated etc, then she might be!!
It was just in response to hollyf's post.
