i am at a loss as which classes to do this year as my mare doesnt really fall in to any particular class unless i hogged her ect and did maxi cob so do you think she is to pretty to hog or shall i just bite the bullet and do it bearing in mind she is a bit cow hocked so would never get any higher than local shows also after seeing ollycobs thread and how good he looks hogged and he is quite a pretty faced boy but really suits him so what do you think i have put a cuople of pics the long mane is last week

But she's not really a cob, and she has a lovely mane...
Mine is hogged so I am a fan. but don't think it suits draught horses.

She would look absolutely beautiful hogged - a real stunner. It would make her very striking rather than just a pretty mare. She is pretty but would have a wow factor head with a hog.

I have ummmmed and ahhhd over hogging my very hairy piebald mare for two years now but she has a bit of an 'ugly' face. I like oddish looking cobs and she isn't traditionally pretty. I adore her but the Hog would only accentuate her big white 'cow' face.

Deffo HOG!

I'm not a cob person so not sure on how they should look but in my honest opinion I think if the cob is hairy and has loads of feather then the cob should have a full long mane. But if like yours it dosnt have any feather or feather has been clipped off then the horse should be hogged.
As your horses mane has been pulled it makes your horse neck look week. I really think she would look better hogged!
As the others have said it can always grow back may take a while but hey it's worth a go?!

I would hog and run the clippers over her legs and take the little bit of feather of too! She would look fab!
