It depends on the time of year - now is a good time for selling horses, but once the autumn comes the market tends to flood with the horses of people going to uni, or the prospect of winter might make people put off buying until the spring. If it is a business venture, I'd go for a quick turnaround or keep him a full year.

If you are looking for a profit I would say about £4K maybe a bit more as he sounds like a really nice horse.
