beautiful morning, at the yard for 2 hrs just jobbing about this morning, up there for an hour and a half this evening-cold but dry-

I did not get rained on once today-sorry for those of you that did but it makes me so happy----happy dance all round

It was lovely and sunny and not too cold when I was at the yard this morning. Wind starting picking up by the time I left and now its blowing a gale and chucking it down :(

Your turn will come! We've had clear skies and sunshine but gale force winds!

It is the first time in about 8 weeks that I have not either/both been blown over of get bl**dy soaked-I think maybe my turn has been and gone, fed up with getting wet doing my horse (and others), horses at work then walking my dogs. It was windy here this afternoon but nothing compared to recent weather

I know the feeling, everywhere is waterlogged, field is a mud pit, last weekend I got caught in the pooring rain and was soaked through to the skin despite having waterproofs on!

Bring on the summer please!

It was nice here today until 10 minutes after I set out riding then we had 5 minutes of hail and gale force winds. I actually had ice-cream head as I was riding ! Boo

I have all six out without rugs on today. They have all come in absolutely caked with mud and on their way in broke into my garden and trimmed the grass there for me too. I think they were enjoying themselves.

When I woke up this morning (Dartmoor, Devon) it was snowing, and blowing a gale. The snow turned to rain, and then all day it nastily rained, blew, dried up, then rained again! I worked in the morning then spent a couple of hours with the horses, far too windy to ride my youngster and I looked at my 22 year old and realised that he would be a complete fool in the wind too, so went home and watched the rugby (no comfort there either!)

Oh No, the good weather will be all the more sweet when it arrives for you too

When I went to do mine yesterday the stream had broken it's banks and was more like the colorado river! The girls were marooned on their woodchip area and the rest of the field was 6 inches deep in standing water and mud. So ive had to move them to one of my spring fields (sob) where they promptly rolled, bucked, farted and hooned round like loonies, tearing up the grass while I winced!
Had to laugh at them though, they were so excited, lol
Roll on summer :)

It's been lovely here, too. Still waterlogged, but I got lots of haylage into my store without being rained on and we took the ponies for a walk this afternoon. It was like May out there.

When I arrived at the yard at 7.30am it was windy but dry, when I left it was starting to rain and really windy. As soon as I got to work at 11am the sun came out and its been lovely all day. Even now the sky is a lovely colour and its cold but clear :(

I have not ridden my boy since Monday as it has been so rubbish weather.

Today he had a play out in the sun in the morning while I went teaching, then this afternoon had a massage, a groom, a play over some fences on the arena, a relaxed sunny Sunday afternoon hack with no waterproof sheet so he could get some sun on his back, a mane and tail pull, tack cleaned and a game of football with the dog!

What a difference a bit of sun and still air makes.

Roll on summer!
