His walk-stand-walk is great, work needs to be done on the trot transitions

Brief history- 4/5YO, not exactly sure what he has done but certainly unbroken and gave a good impression of being slightly wild by rearing inhand and tied up every few mins. Just getting him going under saddle then I'll break him to drive (started pulling things on longreins nicely) and try to persaude Dad he wants him as he matches his

Plan on doing an indoor season driving with him, then do some outdoors as although he is small dads are plucky enough to make the marathons alone and if anything he is sharper than them.

I agree, I am certainly too big to do any cantering/jumping type stuff. He is warmed up on the lunge/longreins the just walked a few 20m circles, then yesterday trotted one. He can rear to full height and jump with his back legs with me on, as well as overtracks in walk... Once I am condient he won't throw himself backwards if I can find anyone to take over the riding I will, if not I'll just work on the driving.

He sure is a character- He has got to top in the pecking order. In comes in in the AM for feed, he let's me catch him but then trys to refuse to leave the field, Lol. He is very quick with his front and back legs so still learning he definately not ahead of people in dominance. Every day he forgets he has ever had stirrups on, but doesn't ever mind the girth! I am pretty sure if we have no accidents he will have the temperament to do well, he is very like a sharp Pip. His 3rd ride we got too close to going overbackwards so I baled out, but he hasn't reared since then so I'm hoping he has learnt his lesson.
