'
and they mentioned something about her shoulders and her hocks being not right
confused.gif

So what is wrong if any of you know ??

I'm not a confo expert - but if she was as bad as they say then i would have noticed it! she is lovely. I love the b&w photo

My old instructor said Frankie was, and i quote, 'made with bits out of a bin'

see how now she is my OLD instructor

She's very pretty!

I can see what they might mean about having slightly straight sholuders and hocks, and her legs look quite fine, but if she performs it means nothing.

Mine is a real 'cut and shunt' job - body of a horse and legs like a little pony, and the back end doesn't really match the front if I'm honest, but by God, does he do the job...!!!!

She's gorgeous! She looks a bit upright, as in if you imagined a triangle with sides running through her shoulder blades and quarters and the point somewhere above her back, it would be a tall triangle, but I presume that would mean she's shorter strided than another horse, nothing else.

Don't worry about them, green eyes indeed!

Surely a slightly contradictory statement!

Difficult to see anything form the photo's other than the side on one where she looks slightly straight in the shoulder and in the hocks, but doesn't shout at you, so I wouldn't worry about what this person said.

How big is she? Wish I could stretch the pony to make her like that!

She is 17hh's

and she's 4 and two weeks and 3 days old hehe i'm a bit obbsesive about her

Thankyou all for you nice comments , I was worrying all afternoon bout this as the person that made the comment is a trainer that buys and sells horses so didnt think he would just be ride for the sake of it

I think she is a nice stamp, a little straight in the shoulder (would like to see more of an angle) and it is hard to assess her hocks from the photo - again perhaps a bit upright but nothing major.

She looks lovely - I would say she has a bit of maturing to do yet though?
smile.gif

her shoulders look fine to me. she is weak through the 2nd thigh and her hocks are a little straight - her hindquarters look a little weak in some of the pics, but not in others. minor things really - i think she looks really nice.

I think she's gorgeous
smile.gif
She looks under muscled on all four legs, or rather, she hasn't yet muscled up, which I think gives her the upright look to her hocks. She's only 4 so once you have done lots of work with her, the muscle will come and I think she'll be really really stunning.

Don't worry too much what other people say, most nasty comments are said through jealousy.

Interesting, I'd say just from the photo's she has got another inch or so of growing to do, hope you don't mind a big one!

I think she's very pretty with lovely markings. No horse has perfect confirmation but so what, if they do the job you want them to do.
I think her hocks look a bit straight as is her shoulder but this doesn't detract from her being a beautiful horse. My old boy is croup high and his hocks are a little straight but in his day he could do everything and was such a star.

Sorry but I had to laugh!
Last year I posted a pic on here of a being backed four year old, and some smart-arse replied that it had terrible shoulder angles and various other problems.
It's done a few comps since being backed, won it's two first attempts at WH including the Championship, got a 26 dressage and been admired by the dressage judge who got out of her car to ask it's breeding, and the SJ commentator who stopped me later and said "Wow, what a fabulous horse!" Oh and an event rider offered five figures for it..
So whatever some people consider to be conformation faults they don't seem to be affecting his value or his performance!
grin.gif

How blood* rude to make a comment about your horse anyway, I think they were trying to say he looks a little weak behind, but that's all relative, if he performs and stays sound so what?
I think he looks a very nice sort and I would forget ignorant remarks completely, next time you see her perhaps say, "You know you have a beautiful face, what a shame about your body!"

It is difficult to tell from most of the photos, because they are taken at an angle. She looks slightly straight in the shoulder, but not hugely. However, hocks do look very straight from the photos. She does look rather light of bone as well.

However, to say that 'she has the worst conformation ever' is very harsh and could only be true of someone who hasn't seen many horses!

At the end of the day, if the horse does what you want and stays sound, then why worry!? One of the best horses I ever rode had pretty ropey conformation!

[/ QUOTE ] Well, I suppose it depends whether he gave the comment unsolicited, or whether the OP asked for an honest opinion!

I once got told nice horse, shame she's got no brain......after she had done a bucking fit in a dressage test with my friend!
I ignore I say.....and remember you will never find the perfect horse as it don't exist.....conformation I'm talking about!
smile.gif

Wouldnt say she has the worst conformation ever at all! She is a nice looking mare. Still looks a little unbalanced in her body, but that will get better as she grows up! She is straight through the shoulder, (so is mine!) and through the hocks, and as said a little light in bone, and she has a long second thigh which makes her hind legs seem a bit "behind" her. However, this will improve as she balances herself and muscles up. SHe is sweet
smile.gif
Just ignore the comments, I got the comment of "oh well, I suppose you get allsorts eventing now a days" when i brought my horse as an eventer. She was soon shutting up when my boy was placed in county showing sports horse classes!! Aslong as she does the job you want, sod everyone else!!!
