I have advertised my horse last month in horsemart and horsedeals but didn't really get much response. I just want to know how much people think I should advertise for to see if I am advertising for the right amount:

Genuine all-rounder with scopey jump and huge floating paces.
Always in the top RC teams in every sphere and competed at the Nationals 3 years running.
Affiliated in 2009 - 24 BD points. Always placed - last score of 72.4% at BD Novice and 7th in Novice Petplan Area Festivals. Score sheets available.
Working elementary/Medium level at home, ready to teach new rider the ropes or take out to Elementary.
Jumps 1.15m at home and 1.05m at competitions. Plenty of scope – has small amount of BSJA winnings.
Been clear around Milton Keynes, Keysoe and Ely’s Intro course.
Also loves hunting and jumps ditches and hedges with ease.
Hacks out alone and in company – goes first or last.
100% to box, trailer, shoe, clip, catch etc. Very easy to do - lives out in summer. No stable vices.
Perfect gentlemen to handle and always has an excellent attitude to his work.
Same home for 4 years. Has been ridden and jumped by novices.
Can be looky as partially sighted in one eye since birth. This has however never affected his performances as his records show and this is reflected in the price.
Very sad sale due to finances – good home paramount. Open to full vetting.
Would suit ambitious adult/teenager wanting to move up the ranks in dressage and showjumping.

Careful! I put a post up yesterday asking for advice on an advert and it got removed and I got told off for advertising...
He's stunning! I think I've photographed you at events before!

Sorry, no help with a price. But it seems there are so many horses just not selling at all at the moment.

How old is he?

Depending on age, ie: if he's max 12 ish.... I'd say £5-6K ish...due to the eye (I know it doesn't affect him, but he wouldn't pass a vetting on it and it is a ....'defect' isn't a nice word, but hopefully you know what I mean!!!).

(Without the partial sight, I would have said about £8-9K...

He is lovely and sounds great...

Congratulations on going to Nationals :-) I guess it is a buyer's market at the moment and if you haven't got any responses than that sounds like the price could be a bit high. What did you advertise him for?

For me the main selling point would be that he is well schooled and uncomplicated. He sounds like a great easy going allrounder for someone who does not mind him looking a bit.

I think most well schooled horses can compete in 1.05m, and Novice dressage, and that there are many nice allrounder horses in the 3500-4500 age bracket. However he sounds very well schooled and your scores and results sounds nice too.

What is his height? If he is 16-16.2 people may be willing to pay more than if he is 15 -15.2...

Breed/breeding? Fair or not, TB/TBx horses seem priced lower than WB ones with well known breeding...

The age is critical. If he is 8-9 year old and you can clearly demonstrate that he has scope for more , then that adds lots to the price.
