Putting my horse up for sale today, if she sells she sells and if she doesn't I wont be too disappointed

Shes a 14.2 arab x welsh chestnut mare, really excellent temperment, good farrier, load, clip, catch, only prob is with the dentist.
Excellent jump can jump course of 1m10, never runs out or syops. Done a bit of everything.
She doesn't like hacking but will do it in company.

What do you think?

Not sure of price. Have you looked at H and H ads, Horsequest, Horsemart etc to try to get an idea of pony prices?

There is a huge range for her type from £1000 - £6000
Obv. I know shes not worth anything like £6000, I was thinking £2000 - £3000??

For me the hacking would be a real issue - unless she is an out and out competition animal.

So it would be around £2k for me.

So if I put her up for £2900 and hoped for £2500 what do you think?

Ditto AmyMay - the hacking would also put me off - and presumambly she isn't an out and out competition horse as you didn't mention her results, so I too would also say about £2k would be reasonable.

As others have said - Id say £2k, £2500 max. The hacking wouldnt put me off as I dont hack, however the pony would need to have a proven competition record which it doesnt sound like she does?

You may find it slightly harder to sell her as she's a chestnut mare and she's got arab in her! These things can put some people off... (Ive had an arab x welsh too who was actually fabulous!).

not proven record although she has jumped bsja but we haven't qualified for anything and she is too small for anything other than juniors and I am too old!
