sorry is i sound a bit stupid-gag sides

i have nosiced that the corners of maddies mouth have been looking a little sore so i have bought some gag sides for ger bit..but there is a problem-i dont know how to put them on!!!! my mum suggesed saoking them in hot water to make them more elsticated. is that the correct way to get them on? i was wondering if here was a sensible easy way. if it makes any difference i ride in a dutch gag. your help would be very much appreciaed as i would like to start using them as soon as possible

Hot water is a good idea for anything like that, plus superhuman strength!

Stick 2 loops of bailer twine through the hole in the middle and pull!! I used to stick one foot in one loop and pull the other loop with one hand and thread the bit through with the other - the neighbours must have wondered what the heck I was doing!

Get them warm and then get 10 of your friends to hold an edge each and all pull like crazy...

I just pull. Get it over one loop of the gag and work your way up lol. Works for me. But warming them up would probably make it a bit easier... I might try that next time!
