My mare is ridden in a myler however I am planning on hunting in a couple of weeks and in company I am staying in front and she is getting strong in canter and her nose gets lower and lower. Any diea on a stronger bit I can use (not too severe as she has been known to rear when asked too much of her). Cheers

Happy mouth american gag with two reins. The mouthpiece is very mild plastic and you can ride on the snaffle rein and only use the gag action when necessary

A pelham/curb bit lowers the head.

You need a gag action bit to raise it.

I prefer the American gag to the dutch gag as I've yet to find a horse that is truly happy in a dutch gag and yet know several happy in the above bit.
