Won't bore you (again) with all my horse's health issues, but he's been back in ridden work for 2 months and is feeling fab.
We went for a long slow hack today and he felt amazing. The best thing was that he was just so happy and cheerful, bounding along enjoying himself. We had a few cheeky moments including jumping a puddle which I tried to explain wasn't on the vet's approved list of activities. I can't explain how it felt to have him like this again after such a long haul.

I hope this is encouraging too for anyone who's having issues with their horse - its been a long 18 months for Boo and I and my fingers are still crossed but it seems that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Thats fab news! All you hard work and perseverence has paid off.
Lets hope his half sister is feeling on top form again soon

I haven't read about your horse's health problems, but I know just how you must be feeling

My mare came back into work 18 months ago after 18 months of health problems. She had been turned away for the last 8 months of those because it looked like she had to be retired, never to be ridden again. Anyway, long story short, she came back into work and the feeling I had was just as you describe yours

18 months on, she is still sound and we're both happy. Its like all the Christmases coming at once isn't it? Enjoy
