Sorry sorry! Another poles thread! How long average are they?

My lovely OH bought me two poles from a timber merchant recently, they are 7ft long! How long are the average trotting/jumping poles? Could I make a decent sized 4 jumps out of those 2 poles or should I just leave them as they are?

They are normally ten to twelve foot, I just bought ten of the latter, so probably don't cut them! Even at seven foot, your X poles jumps will be v narrow !

Wow they don't seem that long when they're on the ground do they!
