iv seen others asking for ptices and i have been genuinly answering with price i would pay. We have now got 2 horses for sale and i would like to compare prices to see if they are right som please give the price you would put on them.

1) british warmblood mare. 7YO dark bay 16hh done everything and even bred a foal....would excel without a doubt at affiliated dressage, lovely passes. Shes by catherstone golden storm who is by dutch gold. Bomb proof in traffic. Not marish. Schooled well, but occasionally careless over fences. not a complete novices ride but safe and sensible.

2) Pure thoroughbred chestnut 15.3hh mare 5yo.. Genuine sort with great personality. Won first dressage comp, first xc comp and sj. Had win recently 5 seconds quicker than 2nd place with 16 entries! Very excited for her future. bOLD JUMP, GREAT TO HUNT. Lovely paces and won out showing locally. HAS a passion for winning and will take anyone to the top. Schooled nicly and ridden by the whole family, and still only 5!!!!!!!! not a total novices' ride as she is schooled well and is sensibly forward going out hunting and xc., but still safe and sensible. can do lag yeil, half pass, travers, shoulder in, walk to canter and moves away from your leg in any direction asked. A quick learner thus has great eventing potential.

so what you think guys? prices please!:p

I think the thing is it's so easy without photos for that to happen, I mean I could be picturing the most stunning, correctly put together horse, who is working outstandingly and making a perfect shape over a fence. Meanwhile you could picture a miserable, flat looking thing, with no quailty and awful comfortmation. A horse that moves like a cow and is a simple mistery as why he clears a fence.

I've just posted a thread about the cob I want to buy on another forum and the price has varied untill I posted pics and the price levelled at a decent price

that might be so, there are 2 types of markets..investers and families who want a special horse for many years to come/a project if you like.....we, are in the investment world so we like to look for young cheap green younsgters to bring on and sell to those families looking for that special horse. And we do seem to be getting the price round here as long as we work hard on the horses to ensure they are good enough for competing further on or happy hacking on etc lol!

will let you know what we get.

I'd say those prices are pretty fair. The tb mare sounds absolutely wonderful, exactly the type I'd want if I was buying.

Really? Well I can't think up a reply quite as mature or strange as yours. Not quite sure why you felt the need to say that.
Helenhorse you are absolutely right, down where I am nothing is selling at the mo, except horses that are priced to sell. Be interested to see what they sell for, seem like lovely animals

thanks for thr horsey comments you guys, they really are lovaely horses specially the thoroughbred mare. The warmblood is 'nearly; sold. Just another few visits to sweeten the deal from the man and she should be off soon! Havnt made much of a fuss about selling the thoroughbred yet 'advertising' wise as we would like to sell her local to a place where we know she will get someone to the top. and to certify that she goes to a good home as she deserves it, bless her!!
