I was 'given' on behalf of a friend to sell for her a 17hh 9yr old TB who as point to pointed and hunted but thats about it. for the last 3 years he's been parelli'ed (dont shoot me down) I suspect not 'properly'. I have had him for about 9 months now and had no luck selling him - hes advertised evrywhere and am starting to grow a bit fond of him now hes working nicely and considering buying him. Shes asking £4000 and i was to get 20% of what he was sold for so any idea on how much to offer her if i do decide to?
 
sorry forgot that! hes npow 100% to box ( wasnt when i wnet to pick him up!) excellent in traffic/farrier etc hacks alone and in company not spooky at all - would almost say novice ride if he wasnt a 17hh ex p2p TB!!
 
Can you link us to the advert? People might be able to suggest some ammendments to enable you to show him at his best.
 
it's a case of what he's worth to you, tbh. there must be reasons why he's not sold, so i'd use that to see if you can get the price down a bit. i'd say £3k would be about right, but that's just a guess, without seeing him.
he sounds very nice. if he's the right horse for you, go for it, if she'll be sensible about the price. you don't mention whether she's been paying you to have/improve him at your place. if so, maybe pay a little more than i've said, to be fair, i reckon.

i think thats quite expensive tbh, i sold one with exactly the same description (albeit 2 years older) for £3250, BUT it had bsja points and was doing double clears discovery.
