My mare is super sensible, easy to hack and straightforward to school. She is however reactive to wind - not just extreme gusts but fresh gusts like we’ve been having in past few days. Shes definitely more sensitive to noise - coping with pretty much anything she csn see and understand. She doesnt understand wind. I would normally, unless really gusty, hack her and deal with the spooks (which are always manageable) but my tolerance of risk is lower now so havent ridden for a couple of days. No big deal but was wondering whether anyone has used sound blocking bonnets to deal with issues like this? I get they work for shows etc but hacking and wind? I need to counter the need to muffle wind but allow her to hear cars etc if that makes sense.
