I shudder to think if the amount of money this cost. Poor dogs are the victims as usual and will probably spend months and months in kennels before being pts while justice is sought.
This story is set to continue, I did at the time consider some of the dogs that I have owned and if anyone had broken into my house they would of gone nuts, one particular one was a JR who was really sweet but I suspect would of seen off anyone who attempted to gain entry to my car or house
Very sad for the dogs (whatever breed they are). When strangers enter a home (uninvited?) and attack the family (in the dogs eyes) you can see how this would happen with many perfectly safe family pets.
I've always wondered about this - all except one of my dogs over the years would have a lump out of anyone who threatened me or the house. Current dog would do serious damage - being worked on but he is very guardy and protective - and tbh I would expect most dogs to do so. Not the dogs fault, in fact the only time you can't be prosecuted for a dog biting is if someone breaks into the house itself. I suppose it's different if the dogs were encouraged to attack but nobody knows if that was the case here.
The police must have techniques to deal with this though? I'm sure I've seen on tv that dog handlers go in on raids just to deal with dogs otherwise avoiding arrest would be a matter of have a dog in the house...
