Anyone been out with this pack and can tell us what to expect? We usually go with the Sandhurst Draghunt but Tweseldown's cancelled tomorrow so thought I'd give the bloodhounds a try.

Thanks

I have :), but only 3 times , I'm new to this hunting lark. I think it varies aloy depending upon where you are, some jumps but always a way round and I thoroughly enjoyed it on my haffy who had never been before.

They are at Hanford tomorrow. Friends went out last time they were there - was pretty poor jumping wise apparently although there are lots and lots of jumps there.

Oddly, I've been hunting precisely once, and it was with the South Downs when they came up to visit Aberdeen, of all places! :) There wasn't much jumping, which relieved me greatly since my pony has been proclaimed "too dangerous to jump" (although he's become better, bless him  ). My instructor had provided a hireling for their whipper-in, which is how we came to be there. I had a great day!...though I was so busy walking in tiny circles that I couldn't really watch what the hounds were up to. :)

Carolineb I think you are talking about southern shires bloodhounds whereas op is asking about south downs.
