South East full livery prices

We don't have a set price, we just pay for what we have. Osc is on woodchips with rubber matting, normally get through 2 bales a week, then 3 bales of hay a week, a bag of economy mix a week and a bag of hifi every few weeks. I muck out at wknds. We have a indoor school with an excellent surface and a jumping paddock in the summer. No winter turnout at all. My bills are normally around £100- £110 a week for Osc.

£265 per calendar month (not riding or grooming) and we're on shavings, has a HUGE field all to himself (nobody likes Flash), 20x40m school and jumps, good hacking, wash area, solarium, horse walker etc...

I'm on £100 a week and that includes feed, bedding, mucking out, turning out/in. We have a floodlit all weather arena and a jumping paddock in the summer.

I pay £180 per week and this includes all feed and hay, bedding, turning out etc, exercising/schooling/hacking out (either by pro rider or staff), grooming, most clipping, preparation for shows, groom to drive me to shows (diesel extra), tack cleaning, giving injections as directed by vets, individual turnout if required - everything apart from shoes, annual vaccinations. We even have a tack room of saddles and bits to use. There is someone to work your horse at midnight if that is what is required, as well as people on hand to give lessons or advice.

This is for total show production so my horse is being assessed daily on weight, muscle tone and performance and his feeding and exercise regime adjusted accordingly. They will also do my entries for me (obviously I pay for them!) and ensure that all vaccination certificates are up to date. All the horses are looked after as though they belong to the YO, and their competition record last year with all 12 of the potential HOYS horses qualifying and attending HOYS with their owners speaks for itself.

Oh yes - they will even muck out for me on Christmas day ...........

the reason for asking is i currently charge around £95 a week for full livery including everything !! slightly more for a bigger horse and less for a pony of course ¬!!!

I have a brand new yard, 30 x 60 jumping arena, 30 acres of all year round grazing (and it has lots of grass) trainers that come in - great hacking around the farm - show jumping field in summer, 24 hour security, alarms takc rooms etc etc

In the new yea we will have mirrors for school, solarium, wash down box cross country course and lots more !!

Anyway im basically thinking of putting my prices up as everywhere round me is more expensive and less facilities ??

If you are not offering exercising/schooling as part of the deal, then I would have thought you are not far off the mark in terms of cost. I would have thought anything over £110 would be pushing it price wise. We charge the same no matter the size of the horse. Some ponies are far dirtier and eat far more than the horses!

Apart from the fact that I'm partial to an indoor school, I think there is some room for your prices to go up. For the facilities you have mentioned I think I would probably be happy to pay £110-120 a week.

Dont worry so am i that is what i plan to have put in - but will have to be the last thing as got other more important things to go in first !!

I dont want to wack the prices up i was talking more liek £5 a week xx

Does that include grooming and tack cleaning? If so I could see you getting £100-110 pw. If it doen't include that then I think your current charges are about right.

I definitely think you could get away with that kind of increase, especially as it sounds like you are improving the facilities all the time!

god yes everthing is brand new and going to be getting better !!!

Its just that i go to other poeple's yards and think (im not being snobby) that they dont have half the facilities i do and the yards are horrible with no grazing yet charge the same or me than i do !!
