Looking to insure my rising 4 cob, she will be in full work next spring and want her insured for vet fees, i have been looking at south essex insurance brokers and would like opinions please.
Also how many of you have loss of use insurance? wanting to insure my cob for "£2500 and for loss of use 100% or 60% its asking for a 5 stage vetting certificate.
Call me dumb but getting confused! if i insure for £2500 and something happened to the horse ie it was PTS would i get £2500 back if horse was not insured for loss of use??

Does loss of use just cover early retirement say if it was injured and could not be ridden again?

Thanks

I'm with them and happy. They have paid out on all bar one claim I have made (injury prone beast) even on the same limb as other injurys etc. They are expensive though and premiums go up a lot each year! I have LOU and death if the horse is PTS on vets advice due to injury thats the death and you should get the full value back - My loss of use is 100% so I will get what hes insured for back if I ever had to claim it I believe. Hopefully I wont ever need to claim that though!

Thanks for that :)

I decided to go with petplan after doing a search on here they seem good, plus i get a free horseware jacket for taking out a policy :p insured her for £2500 and vets fees up to 5k which takes the policy to £453.35, not too bad i thought? I read all the important stuff online on their website so up with it now, having a dummy moment day!!:rolleyes:
