South Gloscesterhire- which hunt?

Hi all,

So I've recently moved to South Gloucestershire just near Jct 18 M4. Does anyone know which hunt covers my area? I know The Beaufort are not far, but wasn't sure if there were any others?

Im horseles at the moment too- so would be wanting a hireling if possible- I used to hunt a lot in Devon growing up and I miss it. I don't know anyone horsey in the area so not sure who to ask.

Beaufort and VWH I would hazard a guess at the Avon Vale too

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will come along soon!

Can't help with hirelings I'm afraid, but your local hunt would almost certainly be the Beaufort, as you are in the centre of their country and the kennels are just a couple of miles from Jct 18.

The VWH and Avon Vale are relatively close, but due to the size of the Beaufort country, I would expect their closest meets will be at least half an hour away (don't quote me on that though!). You could also try the Berkeley who may be closer - they essentially hunt everything from the Severn, across the M5 and down to Bristol.
