South Shropshire TACK THEFT !!!

Warning to people in the Shropshire / Worcestershire / South Staffs area. We had our stables and tack room raided and a substantial amount of stuff stolen ( may they rot in Hell!!)
All of it was small pony size a lot of rugs Rambo, William Funnel ect headcollars ropes and three bridles ansd 2 Saddles.
A lot of the stuff is marked and what isnt is embroidered with Ponies names on the saddle cloths. They even took the Childrens riding hats.

Gosh, what barstewards. Can you give a slightly more accurate picture of where you are based? I'm probably not far away from you and will keep an eye out for anyone trying to pass on pony tack.

Hi about 4 miles from Bridgnorth going towards Stourbridge.

Not very far from me either, I'm 15 minutes drive from Bridgnorth in the opposite direction to you. Will keep an eye out.

Heavens- you must be just up the road from me - I can do Bridgnorth in 20 minutes at a push!

Bloody thieves! Fortunately for me I'm landlocked and have 3 very alert dogs - no-one gets to my yard without them detonating!

There is a second-hand tack sale on Thursday in Ombersley, I wonder if any of it will show up there?

It starts at 7.00 p.m., but all the tables are booked so there isn't room for any more sellers.

You can tell if the sellers are just horsey people having a clear out, and the semi-trader - I wonder where some of the stuff comes from.

I have had some good bargains, there is always a big crowd, although I wonder if some people ever clean their tack, and particularly the trader types some of the stuff would be better off in a bin than on a horse.

Overall it is a very popular event and people come from miles away. I bought a new seat saver, a saddle, some man sized stirrups for £5.00, riding coats, stable rugs. Sometimes it is people who have got another horse and nothing from the old one fits.
