Dog killed by two dogs in Rotherham

We are appealing for information after a woman’s pet dog was reportedly killed by two other dogs, while out on a walk in Rotherham. On Sunday (16 April) at around 6.40am, the woman was walking with her two dogs across fields between Maltby and Braithwell, when she came across a man with three dogs.

^^I too was expecting to see a small dog. What a terrible thing to happen for the poor dog and how traumatic for the woman. People are just so awful at times. A dog locally was run over (on lead on country lane) . Drive got out saw dog was dead advised woman that there was a vet nearby and got in the car and drove off! That poor lady is trying to locate the person but of course was too traumatised to take a number plate. She was nearly run over too.

How utterly devastating but glad to see the police are trying to do something, I have previously had the impression that the they don't tend to do anything about dog on dog attacks.

Poor dog and poor owner. Even if they find that utter b*mhole nothing of any importance will happen to him. I would never forgive that if it was my dog.

Someone near me had her elderly Jack Russell killed by four Staffordshire bull terriers last week. Police weren’t interested.

I wonder if they would have been interested if it had been a child attacked by the dogs.
