This indeed DID happen ( no hearsay about this one) Police have been round to a lot of the yards in this area warning people about these thieves in the Durley/ Curdridge/ Bishops Waltham area especially, so people in these areas and surrounding areas, please keep an eye out for ...

European men with a white van and red 4x4 that are stopping by fields and taking photos of horses

Any reports/sightings to the phone numbers on JM's post above.
 
I'm confused, why isn't this on the stolen horse register? Why does it sound so dodgy? And again, I'm sorry to say this, but if the horses where stolen they are probably going to be better looked after. I'm surprised the RSPCA weren't involved when they thought it was ok to leave 34 horses unchecked for 2 weeks!
 
Don't dismiss the storys about eastern european men, I spoted about six of them yesterday sitting in a red VW transporter, in ASDA car park eating chicken wings, previouly purchased from the hot counter in side the shop, I found this very strange as their money would have been better spent on some DEODERANT!!!! Police are taken this very seriously and have got the sniffer dogs out

nice. I saw some sat in a WHITE DATSUN outside the corner shop last night, didn't manage to get the reg, I was too busy running away.

BTW I will be taking photos of my horses tomorrow, I will be in Yorkshire and I have a green golf, please note: I am not planning on stealing any horses, promise.

I live in bishops waltham and keep my horse in newtown - my friend was a victim. We also had two men that followed this description in this car snooping around our yard on thursday - police were informed. Please please keep on your toes.
