Can someone tell me the pro's and con's of feeding soya (bean meal etc, comes in various forms) Coconut (oil etc). I am looking up conditioning feeds, and a lot seem to contain them, but somewhere (and I am not sure where!) I heard they were infact not very good for horses. So why are they bad/ good etc? Are they alrght in small amounts, but harmful if fed in larger amounts, they don't exactly sound 'natural' for a horse.
p.s I mean this in the context of feed containing soya and coconut, not feeding my horse a literal coconut!
