Spaniel rescue centres

Can anyone point me in the direction of a reputable rescue not too far from North Bucks. Looking for a friend who lost her 14 yr old springer just before Xmas and has now decided she is ready to have another dog, ideally a springer or a springer x. Ella was a rescue and having met my 2 youngsters last night she has decided that she would like to rehome a slightly older dog than take on a pup. Will have a lovely home, no cats or other dogs or small children to consider. Hoping someone will have some ideas.

Just noticed it says may be best with another dog but might be worth giving Cynthia a ring to see if she knows of anything else. The rescue is based in the north east but they seem to deal with the whole country.

I'd be surprised if an oldie couldn't be found through the above groups but breed rescues are usually networks rather than shelters.
We once had someone phone for a dog but worried that he was calling someone 200 miles away. We had a dog to suit him ten miles from his home.
