Hi All!
Has anyone had any dealings/experience with "Andalusian Horse Direct" good or bad?
I recently lost my Spanish boy suddenly to colic and Dawn seems to have some very nice horses that she has access to direct from Spain.
I can only find good reviews, but obviously I am keen to delve deeper into this, before comitting.
Thanks all!

I will just say that there are more reputable Spanish horse dealers out there. Have you looked at what's available here in the UK?
Yes, Not much about for sale in the UK and what is available seems to be very over budget or in budget, but not great quality.
Can you recommend any Spanish dealers? :-)

So sorry for your loss. When i was looking for my boy i was bombarded by them and it was most unprofessional. Put me right off and then having done further research what i was reading was not good. Mine came through Majestic and i adore him. Sophie Gooding has some lovely ones and they are all budgets.

If you have time there's uk bred babies that are 5k, give or take. I love millparks horses and they seem to bring them up well. I have different stud homebred one and she moves beautifully, not so much choppy but more floaty. She was a project though and we are not quite at riding properly stage.

Thank you, that is really helpful :-) Will take a look. Where did you find bad reviews on AHD - as I havne't been able to find anything bad, but I haven't had a good deep look yet, as still on the fence as to whether I will get another horse...

I think I am a bit old for a baby tbh, if I got a yearling, I would be kicking 60 by them time ready for backing and I think I would regret that :-(

There's a facebook page "buying/importing Spanish/Lusitano horses the good and bad. It isn't updated that regularly but a big help. :)

Millpark is very near me they do have some lovely ones and occasionally i have seen them for sale when they are older.

Hi everyone, just a little update. I contacted Sophie Gooding, very very helpful and seems to be 100% trustworthy...
I am having a ginger Spanish boy vetted tomorrow - so fingers crossed!
Thanks everyone who suggested her, she has been ace :-)
Good luck! Do share some photos if you end up buying him - so pleased you've found someone you're comfortable with

Here you go!!

Oh isn't he gorgeous! I like how he's looking forwards in such a cheerful way. I don't know if I'm reading too much into some photos but he looks like he has a nice nature - I like his face.

I haven't met him yet, but have seen many many videos and he seems to have the sweetest nature. Always has his ears forward, even when the vet was poking and prodding him. I am very excited.
His name is Trigueño 🧡
