Convienence mainly, easy to feed, I know the horse is getting the required amount of vit and mins including hoof/skin/joint ingridents without havnig to feed seperate supplements.
Ultimate Balancer D&H
It works out to be 100g to every 100kg horse ie. 600g daily split between 2-3 feeds.
Ive just started topspec leisuretime, to make sure he gets the best out of what i feed him and that he is getting all his vits and mins. Im feeding full rations so one bag lasts about 6 weeks but ill drop it down soon. It cost me £20 because i got a £5 voucher, if you email them they will send you one
I decided to feed a balancer to do away with several supplements: Yeasaac, joint supplement, garlic, vits and mins. I started feeding Top Spec and it sent my horse loopy. Top Spec sent me a tub of their Comprehensive supplement, which has all the additives that the balancer has, and now I feed that along with basic nuts and Hi Fi Lite, and my horse is doing very well indeed. I only give half the amount of the Comprehensive that they recommend, as I am feeding the nuts as well, and it lasts me about three months. Good value for a great supplement I think.
Started feeding it to try and help her guts cope with haylage, which it does, but she also has the best shine on her coat. It has all the vits and minerals etc, but doesn't have the protein in it (I think).
Cost about £11 for 30 days worth.
I did use Equilibra and also tried Top Spec, but this is the best one for us.
