I love my Spanish horse

To those of you who remembered my post a few weeks ago when i was feeling unprepared and totally bricking our second time at NFS -well we survived
In fact we more than survived, my little spanish pony Kirico excelled himself and was a little star all day and of course lapped up all the attention as usual
The inhand class first off was worrying me as we had a fair amount of leaping, bucking and spending most of the time airbourne
Then despite a good lunge and apparently switching off before the class he still did exactly the same when we were in the, and i was expecting to be placed pretty far down tbh. Fortunatly having a spanish judge that understands the hotness of these horses was in our favour, and we came second behind a VERY nice youngster from a proffesional stud, cue very happy mummy and even more explosive lap of honour where we went round the ring with kirico gelloping round me in circles!!!
I think all the leaping, bucking and galloping must have tired him out as when it came to the ridden class he pretty much fell asleep on me, and all the naughty antics and tricks he'd been worrying me with schooling at home seemed to have dissapeared and i had a quiet, if a little sleepy laid back pony, which at NFS is exactly what i wanted. Anyway after a small tack shortcut noticed by a very thorough judge, and a fluffed canter transition we came 8th out of 12 in a strong class, so was pretty pleased with that as kiks did absolutely wrong and we would have placed higher if it wasnt for the numpty rider on board!
So very pleased with him, and came home with some very pretty ribbons and some nice pics of our day which ive posted a few of below. Only Romsey show left this year now so fingers crossed it goes smoothly
Thanks for reading, any comments or cc welcome as always
