Hi, just wondered where I stand. I love my horses as we all do and recently I took on a old boy who needed a home, he's old half blind with old injuries but my hasn't he improved, he looks fab he really does. Iv got my ridden horses but iv taken great pride in seeing this old lad improve and re gain life again with a little help with devils claw :) he actually runs around the field with a spring in his step.
Now the question is, iv got a spare stable which I would like to take in another old horse but on a retirment livery but not sure where I stand with reguards to insurance etc? Could anybody give me some info? And as iv only got a few horses it would not be one off a number but treated as my own.

Your best bet would be to contact a welfare charity. they have many non-rideable horses/ponies looking for good homes.
Mind you, you wouldn't be able to charge a livery fee - you would have to meet the cost yourself.
