What have you fed your horses & found it gives them a little too much 'spark'
Even oats don't make a blind bit of difference for my horse yet my old horse had a handful of apple chaff and became a complete loon
I am doing a bit of research regarding feed/training and attitude so anything is much appreciated!
For example the trend seems to be if your horse bucks and you feed oats it seems you just get more bucks not necessarily 'nice energy'
Thanks :)

Stayed with my horse at Somerford park and fed him their haylage, I've never known him so buzzy despite him being an idle toad and always feeding competition mix. He wasn't the only horse that got a bit lit up, but others seemed completely unaffected. He was fed haylage at home but it clearly didn't have the high sugar content.

Baileys Everyday High Fibre Mix sends mine into orbit, along with any change in grass or good-quality haylage. Oh, and general Pony Nuts and 'normal' chaff. She was once given a small handful of Topspec Turbo and it was days before she was back to normal.

I've never had 'nice' energy when giving her any hard feed - it was all bucking, head tossing, rearing, and generally being a massive sod. She's now out 24/7 on just grass and 5lb of haylage in the evening and is still a bouncy horror, though a manageable one :p.

I've used Top Spec Turbo, combined with management changes (keeping him in more), and getting him much fitter and slimmer. He is bouncier, but that may or may not be down to his feed...! Hope you find something that helps :)

Barley... Had a mare who was a bit underweight and fed weight gain mix from allen and page
the barley in it sent her into madness
She fairly put the weight on though!!
My yard feeds a mixture of straight oats and the leftovers of beer making from the brewery, and it sent mine a bit wonky for 2 weeks then settled right down

Thanks everyone
Lots to think about here. A few have mentioned topspec turbo so I think this shall be the first trial & haylage not hay :)

I think Havens Slobber-Mash can be good for adding a bit of "go" to some horses ... 2 massive feeds a day have no effect on my sister's boy at all other than making him shiny and keeping his weight on beautifully, but I do know people whose horses have lit up a bit on it.

My old boy was wild on anything mollassed.
