Thanks to all for their encouragement regards my horse having spavin. However to-day after being at the vets nearly all day the diagnosis is still unclear nerve blocks and xrays were done on the hock and the fetlock and no improvement on trot up. Hocks looked clean under xray. Due to the amount of nerve block injected and manipulations i have to take the old girl back to the vet in ten days where we will have to go through a whole lot of other tests on the stifle. The vet graded the lameness at 2 to 3 out of 10. So it is a good news bad news situation so am no further forward.
