Remember my post the other day about tidying up after yourself?

And the liveries who haven't been?

Tonight they had the farrier and so obviously mess on the yard and poo, and poo in both the spare stables where their horses had been.

Got mine in fed them and turned them out, livery A leaves all the mess and goes home, i wait for livery B and say to them 'will you clear that up before you go' meaning the mess on the yard, so they do but not without a bit of moaning, however they leave the sh1t in the stables.

So cross. Spoke to B and his OH and told them what had happened and said that they need to say something or i will have to, and said liveries are not going to like hearing it from me - the person who they seem to think is there to clear up after them.

They are on DIY and out 24/7 but when they bring their horses in they don't half make a bleedin mess of the place.

Hello Ethel, where do your talents end? (I used to be Alidee, Aleee) LOVE the pics, I did a couple of those but yours are better. If you don;t mind me asking what do you charge?

And I would share a yard with you as long as you dish out the chocolate. i am a clean person!

hello Armhole, my talents end at colouring in sadly! ( a horses head, mounted and unframed is £50 unless you want it 6 ft square)

Share with me, I'm just about to buy a new set of stables and Im very tidy, just a bit weird. And my horse is irritating.

I'd clean it all up and dump it in their feed bin/tack area/letterbox.

Its very tempting believe me.

Would be a hoot!

I'd have to drive about 3 hours down the M1 to do the feed/muck/turnout etc but sure, let's not let that get in the way! LOL! I am a bit weird too.

I like the bridles to go on their own places on the rack, not changed around. I like the right things to go in the right drawers, empty haynets all together neatly, all rugs put away which are not in use, all kit, such as longe stuff, boots, bandages, first aid, spare numnahs etc have their own labelled box, all buckets/sponges/scrapers have to be assembled correctly and on a rack and all lotions and potions have their own place on the shelves in the cupboard!

At last yard one of the liveries lent my wheelbarrow, left it back with all the poo from their stable in it. I asked her to empty it and she said she would before she left.

However she left and didnt do it, i saw red and emptied the wheelbarrow back into her stable again!!!

Tidy is good.

Full livery - I shouldn't have to sweep or tidy up anything ever cos I pay not to have to.

Part livery - I ought to maintain yard standards when I use my horse, and keep everything spick and span as it is when I arrive.

DIY livery - well then we all have to decide what sort of standards we want on the yard and keep them whatever they are.

However there isn't really anywhere i can sweep their mess other than into their feed area in which case i'd have to walk through it to get to our feed area...

What carefully selected words/actions do you think i should use?

This person must be like Dominque...She, literally, doesn't like being asked, hinted at,suggested to, and certainly, told what to do...After 3 weeks of dating I asked her to dial a number on the cell phone while I was driving. She threw the telephone in my face...

Her being an only child and French doesn't help things.

Now, I tell her not to do things when I want things done...This still leaves a 50/50 chance of them 'getting done,' but what the heck,...beggers can't be choosers...

(...and if you're at all like my Dominique, YOU WILL HAVE THIS SUGGESTION

I take it they use feed buckets, then there is your place to put it

, if they don't then when they arrive sweep it into a neat pile on the bonnet of there car.

......... Otherwise all you can do is ask them to tidy up or get the YO to ask them.......

Well YO is B and his OH but they are like me, don't really wanna make a fuss and easy going however i can only take so much before i really lose it and its heading that way, think they know that, but will give it till Sat and if said liveries are still making mess come Sat afternoon i will say something - not sure what yet!

RichardRider - I think you should probably dump Dominique!!!!!!!!!

[/ QUOTE ]

...better "the devil you know then the devil you don't..."

Everyone I've read so far complains about people in their stables, poor driving, bad shoeing, theft of blankets, saddles not fitting, and serious discussion about chin straps...

...I choose to complain about Dominique

...Should I go to "Soapbox?"

If Dominique reads HHO, then your already miserable sounding life will spiral seriously downhill
Good luck!

Well apparently the yard was quite clean this morning, i didn't get an answer when i asked about the spare stables which probably means they were still full of sh1te. I'M now getting abrupt answers from B as though i'm the bad person for complaining, can't win.

I once shared a yard with possibly the laziest person ever. She NEVER cleaned after herself so I started sweeping everything into a pile in front of her bins so she had to stand on it to get to her stuff. I didn't say anything, just kept doing it until one day it was all gone and she tidied nearly everyday!!

"CLEAN UP YOUR MESS please!"

Very loudly and preferably with an audience?
