My mare has developed a corn in one of her front hooves, I totally hold my hands up for blame as lost track of when she was due to be shod and feel pretty guilty about it. She was pretty lame this eve but was only shod today so probably pretty sore.
We were hoping to go to the regional dressage in 3 weeks but now I'm not sure whether she will recover in time. Any experiences of recovery time or things to help speed it up?? Keretex seem to have a few possible helpful products eg hoof hardener or putty, any experiences?? She is on box rest and will be until she's comfortable again.
Thanks for any advice!

My farrier put a pad between the hoof and the shoe on my horse, which made him very comfortable and rideable. Took it off at the next shoeing and the corn had gone so was well worth it.
