......what do you resent paying out on your horse, that you consider to be 'money down the drain'?
Mine is rug cleaning(Yep... I know could clean myself, but do not have the time!!!)

and bedding(As most of it ends up on the muck heap!)
And do you keep to a budget,or 'money is no object' when it comes to your horse?

Just curious and nosey!!!!!

Haven't resented buying anything so far as I've only had him 3 weeks..but seem to spend a quite lot anyway! I've been annoyed recently with my Stablekit haynets because they keep breaking..but compared to cars and shoes they're not expensive so can't really complain!
I like to get the best that I can afford for him and he doesn't go without anything, but I do have to keep to a budget as I am a student with a low income, but my parents do help out and I'm very lucky.

Putting fuel into an extremely thirsty 4x4.

I now only keep it for towing the trailer, have bought another car for general running around. Other than that I don't resent spending anything on my lad

Surprisingly enough I never resent spending money on my horse or my dog who both cost me a fortune. If I had neither I would have been debt free a long time ago!! However, before I had them both I had a lot more money and was thoroughly miserable and was very unhappy. They have both done me so much good and given me so much happiness that they are worth every penny.

After a rather nasty accident involving them both with the horse galloping over the top of the dog 2 weeks ago I was presented with a bill for £140 last Friday from the vet for stitching up the dog. I paid it without blinking. Had I spent £140 on clothes I would have felt hugely guilty and wanted to take them back. Does this make sense? I can spend money on the animals freely without feeling guilty because they "need" whatever they get bought!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its great - guiltfree spending...!!!

EXCEPT when I buy things on a whim - hoof putty for example. I bought some about 2 months ago when the horse had a chunk of hoof missing. I used it once and am sure I'll never use it again. Things like that I resent!!
