So my lovely man and I have got through the 12 months since Kissing Spine surgery with vets, trainers and physios and now that he feels so good I feel so bad. Bad feet cue podiatrist as my foot balance is all wrong and physio as I ride so crooked I could shoot myself.

If only I had known I could have spent the last few months being straightened up :( at least I know now. I had my position analysed on a moving saddle thingy and then a herd of wildebeest galloped across my spine at least that's how I feel now.

Sorry to hear you're now feeling bad!

Good news your horse is feeling better though. :)

Where did you get your position analysed? I think I could do with that and then have myself straightened up too! I don't think you're alone in being crooked.

Hope you're feeling better soon!

I am also very crooked and due an operation on my foot any day now. Apparently I have some of the flatest feet my surgeon has ever seen! Don't feel too bad about it. x

It's funny really. I have put all my time and effort into getting my horse happy comfy content and supple and he has had more stretches and physio than you can shake a stick at plus new saddle, gel pads and me?
Cheap boots and Jods and clothes bought off the sale rail. So now I suppose he deserves a well balanced supple rider.

He hasn't seen mine! :p

Sorry you're feeling rubbish now, flibble. At least you are easier to fix than a horse...you can talk at least! It would be so much easier with horses if they could speak to us.

I hope the wildebeest move onto pastures new soon :)

It's my own fault I had a bad fall at speed last September 2012 just before his diagnosis and op and I ignored it because I was more worried about him and then 8 weeks ago we had an incident in the woods with a Mountain bike. Again I was gutted because he had got so confident, we both had so I took Ibuprofen and got the physio out for him.
I had been seeing a chiro but every time she straightened my it went kaput again. Stupid really Physio for horse pills for me.

I have even got paranoid about what side I sleep on and how I sweep and poo pick. But now is my time. His handsomeness is nearly there and the only way to move forward is to get me there too.

Quick update I have now been to see Physio twice and now a podiatrist I have lists of exercises for me and for Charlie to get us both functioning correctly and I have a remedial pad strapped to one foot next week it will probably be both.

I have mild arthritis in my knees and now we know why. Things have been out of kilter from my feet to my neck. Luckily the arthritis is very mild (just a bit creaky)
I think I would recommend every horse owner have regular physio check ups just for the benefit of your horse.
