Does anyone feed their horse Spillers Conditioning Fibre and how do you find it?

I currently feed my horse pure feed condition which my horse is looking good on and loves but I find it is an expensive way to feed since I can't store more than 10 bags at a time. From looking at nutritional content it looks as though Spillers Conditioning Fibre has the same sugar and starch levels and is actually higher in fibre than pure feed conditioning feed. It is also significantly cheaper so I'm thinking of changing over since this festive season is having quite an impact on my wallet!

Any experiences good or bad greatly appreciated. My horse is an ulcer prone warmblood who is pretty hot and excitable so I want to keep him on the highest fibre, lowest sugar diet as possible. He is a poor doer in fairly hard work so definitely needs two calorie-filled feeds a day in addition to his adlib hay / haylage.

The SPillers one has more potential irritants if you have something with gut problems.

Why not go to straights with Pro Hoof as the mineral supp which contains yea sacc for gut health?

I used to feed it to my poor doer, he did love it & looked good on it. But he's a ulcer prone horse & a nutritionist adv to avoid anything too processed, I tried pure but he looked rubbish on it so using dried grass instead which is cheap as chips,he loves it & seems to be doing ok so far...
