Hey guys just wondering if anyone has fed spillers original balancer?
my TB is looking well but on little grass and barely touches his hay and i dont want to keep chucking feeds at him so was looking at putting him on this balancer to give him everything he needs.
It says its 'non-heating' which is a must as he is used in the riding school for nvq students.
I did look at getting blue chip but my local feed merchant said to try spillers first (probably because they dont sell blue chip!)
so if anyone can tell me their experiences/opinions, that'd be great :)
 
I have had my horse on this for the past month(he is a poor doer), he is looking really well on it and loves it!
it smells yummy, his coat is nice and shiney and his muscle tone has improved but i also changed to calm and condition at the same time so i am not really sure if it is just the balancer that has improved him!
I am only feeding 1 cup per day instead of the 2 cups recommended for his weight as the c&c also has vit/min in it and i dont want to overload him, but i will be definatley keeping him on the balancer as it is cheaper than top spec and blue chip!
 
I think Spillers used to make Blue Chip and they no longer do, so their product would be pretty similar anyway I would think!
 
I have my rising 3yo and my old girl who is 27 on it. Both chilled out and calm and both looking really well. I feed slightly less than the recommended amount to the youngster.

Im going to start him on it tomorrow and see how it goes. At least i havent heard any horror stories about horses going nuts :D
