Spinal Fusion & Riding

I have just had a Spinal Fusion at L4/5 and am recovering well. I have been lucky to have 2 friends who are looking after my horse. Now, I'm wondering when I will be back on yard & back to some normality? Has anyone had the same operation and then continued to ride and be able to muck out etc.?
This was my 3rd operation at the same area and I really can't cope with anymore!!!

when was your op? Hope all went well and you're recovering!

As a lowly 3rd year medical student, I'm not entirely sure, but have you discussed with your surgeon? Or even your GP maybe? I'm guessing it will depend entirely on your recovery, how you feel and your individual circumstances, but there should be some ballpark figure.

What were the two previous operations? Sounds like you've been having a bit of a rough time with it!
