wormers and flea treatment - what does everyone use?
The 'rescue' JRT is happy in her night crate and big day run (for those 'not out with me' times), training up nicely and off the lead with good (95%) immediate recall. She LOVES tp play 'fetch' and can sit, lie, heel and generally do anything I ask so I am thrilled with how it's going.
I've got lots of useful info off here, i.e. crate recommendation and searched for wormer help. The 'no nonsense' rescue place said they have now stopped using drontal in favour of a prescription only one. Also, they use frontline flea spray.
I say 'no nonsense', as the guy who runs it didn't need me to show him the dog's own sofa and place on my bed! Also, my garden isn't Fort Knox - but my dog has a 20x40 top of the range arena to play fetch in and her own sheep-fenced field to exercise in, so it must have counted for a suitability pass ;-)
I can't believe the fussiness of some rescues, especially in the light of me having had terriers all my life and they all lived to a ripe old age...
My particular JRT had wrecked one home already from being too babied. Seems deleriously happy here with me, now she has some structure and discipline to her life.
