I have owned my 4 year old mare for 6 months now and when vetted there was a small cold hard splint mid way down cannon bone on foreleg. She was unbroken, she is now in regular work. The splint dissapeared a few months ago. She was turned out without her boots on in error and has come in and the splint is up again. It is not swollen or sensitive to touch. Gave her day of and lunged yesterday, she was slightly sticky / off in trot - so very minor - but all the same not right. Does magnetic boots of or cold therapy boots help with splints - or any advise on this appreciated.
