Splint

Hi there,

i have just noticed when bringing in my TBx WB that he has a spint on the inside of his hind leg!!! i didnt even realised that horses could get splints there!!! im not sure how long hes had it as it has gone hard. i feel like a bad mother.. i dont know how i have missed it.

please can anyone recomend a product to help it go down

They can theoretically get them either side of each cannon bone as thats where their splint bones are, but hind legs are less common.
If it's already hardened up and its not painful (even if you poke it quite hard!), and not hot, I doubt there's much you can do to make it go down. Most products are for developing splints. I'd just leave it well alone - they form for a reason.
