Goddy has developed two massive hard splinty lumps on his back leg. I think theay are prob from kicking himself behind as he is quite close, and I dont tend to use back boots when jumping.....but has nanyone got any experience with hind splints? Do they generally cause any problems? Any effective methods to get them to vanish!??????

My mare has on on the outside of her off hindleg, she is currently intermitently lame and off work for a month, then going to try bringing back into work

I'm sure I've heard about slices of lemon and a copper coin against them to help get rid of them - maybe oldwives stuff, but worth an internet search and a try???

My boy had one appear last summer, no lameness though. He's very close behind as well, although I boot him for all riding I don't boot him in the field so he could have knocked himself being a wally in the field! It was all a bit of a mystery really but doesn't affect him so not worried!

funny you should post this, I was going to post the same! Flash has also developed them on the inside of his hind legs
